SOUND QUALITY:
I purchased these speakers primarily for listening to music via my iPod. iPod playback tends to be just a little "hot" which means that playing music through speakers that don't have bass and treble controls is not optimal. Overall the sound quality is quite nice as long as you're not listening to anything inherently bass heavy- electronica, r&b, hip hop, reggae...
VOLUME:
You're not DJ-ing a block party or dancehall with these guys but if your looking to jam out in up to a medium size room the warmth of the bass will adequately fill your head and chest(and your neighbor's too).
